Pink Team Review Checklist for RFP Submissions
Pink team is where you catch disqualifying mistakes while they are still cheap to fix. Without a checklist, review meetings become opinions about font choice.
Check in this order: compliance matrix 100% populated with owners and evidence, executive summary aligned to scored factors, technical approach cross-referenced to requirements, past performance citations match RFP format, pricing ties to basis of estimate, all required forms signed, and file naming matches the solicitation.
Assign a single submission owner who runs the checklist, not the CEO who drops in for tone. The owner signs off that each line item is green or has a documented exception.
Common failure: pink team on prose only while the matrix still has yellow rows. Review the matrix first. Narrative without traceability is fiction.
